Who this treatment is for
This treatment is built for clients within roughly 10-15{0c67d2b373e4004cca46b4540492a371134f9a25edf6cf403c1c194ff866df61} of their goal weight who want to address localised areas that diet and exercise alone will not shift. It is not a weight-loss treatment — it is a contouring protocol.
- Stubborn fat in the abdomen, flanks, inner thighs, outer thighs, knees, upper arms or bra-line.
- Loose skin after significant weight loss, when the body has changed shape but the surface has not caught up.
- Post-pregnancy contouring — once you are six months post-partum and (if relevant) breastfeeding has finished.
- Cellulite — particularly responsive to LPG and cavitation combinations.
- Pre-holiday or pre-event refinement when you want a visible change in a defined window.
- Clients who have plateaued — diet and exercise are working but a specific area refuses to budge.
Why we recommend the Cavitation
We recommend the Cavitation because it is a clinically-grounded body protocol delivered by a senior body therapist who calibrates energy, depth and applicator placement to your specific concern. The technology has clinical evidence behind it, but the result you get depends entirely on the skill of the operator — and that is where we differ from cheaper providers running the same machine.
Our body therapists are trained directly by the device manufacturers and re-certified annually. We use clinical-grade body devices with adjustable energy levels, work to mapped treatment zones for consistency between sessions, and we will tell you honestly if you are not a candidate. About one in fifteen consultations ends with us recommending the client wait, lose more weight first, or address a different concern entirely.
How the Cavitation works
Body contouring treatments work by selectively targeting fat cells or stimulating collagen production without damaging surrounding tissue. The mechanism varies — cryolipolysis freezes fat cells which the body then clears; HIFU delivers focused ultrasound to stimulate dermal collagen; cavitation uses ultrasonic waves to disrupt fat-cell membranes; RF heats tissue to trigger remodelling.
Whatever the mechanism, the body needs time. Treated cells are cleared via the lymphatic system over weeks. measurable contour changes confirmed with before-and-after photography — but only after the body has done its part. We schedule sessions and review points around that timeline.
The treatment protocol
A standard Cavitation session moves through these phases:
- Consultation and analysis — we discuss your goals, take measurements where relevant, and confirm the treatment plan.
- Photography — before photos taken in consistent light and pose. Stored confidentially; deletable at any time.
- Skin preparation — the area is cleansed, marked with a skin-safe pencil and the device parameters set.
- Active treatment — the 0-minute protocol delivered to the marked zones, with applicator movement and energy levels adjusted in real time based on your tolerance and skin response.
- Lymphatic drainage — manual massage to support the body's clearance of treated cells.
- Cooling and review — we let the skin settle, review session notes with you, and book the next appointment if you are running a course.
- Take-home plan — written aftercare with hydration, exercise and clothing guidance.
In the room: what you'll experience
The sensation varies by modality. Fat freezing creates an intense cold then numbness for the first ten minutes, then comfortable. HIFU and RF feel like deep warmth with brief sharper points — we adjust energy in real time. Cavitation produces a high-frequency tone you hear more than feel; some clients find it ticklish.
Discomfort is manageable and short-lived. The room is private; you will be properly draped throughout. After fat freezing some redness, mild bruising or temporary numbness is normal and resolves within days. There is no downtime — return to work, exercise or social life the same day.
Results timeline
Body treatments compound over a course. The Cavitation produces visible results across the following windows:
- Immediately — temporary redness, sometimes tightness in the treated area; the change you came for is not yet visible.
- Week 2-4 — first signs of contour change as the body begins clearing treated cells.
- Week 6-12 — full single-session results — this is when most clients see the change clearly in photos.
- After a 3-5 session course — compounded contour change in the targeted zone. We do a full review and decide whether to continue or move to maintenance.
- Long-term — treated fat cells are permanently removed. Remaining cells can expand if you gain weight, so maintaining a stable weight protects the result.
Aftercare
Aftercare is short but matters. Five rules to follow:
- Drink 2-3 litres of water in the 48 hours following treatment to support lymphatic clearance.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours — it slows the body's ability to process treated cells.
- Continue normal exercise — it accelerates results. Avoid heavy weight training directly on the treated area for 24 hours.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing on the day; underwire bras and shapewear can be uncomfortable post-treatment.
- Eat lightly the day of treatment; the body works better on a clear digestive system.
- Book the follow-up at the right interval — too early and the body has not finished clearing; too late and you lose momentum.
Safety, contraindications and patch testing
We do not treat clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active infections in the treatment area, hernias in the abdomen for abdominal work, recent surgery in the area (within 6 months), pacemakers or implanted electronic devices for RF protocols, or who are on blood-thinning medication without medical clearance. Severe Raynaud's disease excludes cryolipolysis. We always check before treating.
No patch test is needed for this treatment.
