Some treatments require a patch test 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. This is for your safety — it lets us confirm your skin doesn’t react adversely to the products or settings we’ll use.
Which treatments require a patch test?
- Laser hair removal (first-time clients and after a 12-month gap)
- Brow and lash tinting
- Chemical peels
- Selected facials using new active ingredients
- Permanent makeup and microblading
Whenever a patch test is required for a treatment you’ve booked, it’s flagged at checkout and on your booking confirmation.
How it works
- Drop in for a free 5-minute appointment at least 48 hours before your treatment.
- We apply a small amount of the product or a brief laser test pulse to a discreet area.
- You watch the area over the next 24-48 hours for any redness, itching or swelling. If you see a reaction, contact us before your appointment.
Why it matters
Even if you’ve had the treatment elsewhere, our products, equipment or settings may differ. A patch test is the simplest way to rule out a rare but possible allergic reaction. If you arrive without a valid patch test where one is required, we will be unable to deliver the treatment and standard cancellation charges apply.
Validity
A patch test for a given treatment is valid for 12 months from the date it was performed. After that, a fresh test is needed even if you’re an existing client.
