Who this treatment is for

This treatment suits a wide range of clients. The protocol is adjusted in real time so it works as well for a first-timer wanting brightness as it does for a regular targeting long-term concerns.

  • Clients managing dehydration, dullness or uneven tone — common in London water and central-heating skin.
  • Skin showing early fine lines that respond well to consistent active treatment.
  • Congestion, blackheads or persistent breakouts that need professional extraction and a managed routine.
  • Post-procedure recovery — a calming, barrier-supporting session after laser, peels or aesthetic work.
  • Sensitive or reactive skin that needs a careful, low-strength but high-touch protocol.
  • Pre-event preparation — booked 1-3 days before a wedding, photoshoot or major occasion.

Why we recommend the Signature Facials

We recommend the Signature Facials because it is a results-driven facial protocol delivered by a senior therapist who adjusts every step to the skin in front of her. Most clients see the difference walking out the door; the deeper structural improvements compound across a course of 4-6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

Our facialists are senior — typically 8-15 years post-qualification — and we keep client notes properly so each appointment builds on the last. We will tell you honestly when your skin does not need the treatment you have booked, and we will recommend something cheaper or simpler if that is what your skin actually wants.

How the Signature Facials works

A facial works because it does in 30-90 minutes what your home routine cannot: it allows controlled access to layers of skin where active ingredients and physical techniques produce measurable change. Exfoliation thins the stratum corneum so serums penetrate; massage moves lymph and improves circulation; targeted actives address pigmentation, fine lines or hydration at a strength professional use allows.

The Signature Facials specifically delivers immediate glow plus structural skin improvements that compound across visits. The protocol respects the skin barrier — we never strip it for a quick "glow" that costs you a flare-up next week. Every active is dosed for the skin in front of us on the day.

The treatment protocol

Every Signature Facials follows the same backbone, then deviates based on what your skin needs in that moment. Here is the structure your therapist will work through:

  1. Skin analysis under magnification — we assess hydration, sebum activity, sensitivity, pigmentation and any barrier compromise before deciding on active steps.
  2. Double cleanse — an oil-based first cleanse to lift makeup, SPF and sebum, then a water-based second cleanse to clear the skin properly.
  3. Targeted exfoliation — enzymatic, glycolic, salicylic or mandelic acid, calibrated to your skin's tolerance on the day and the result we are aiming for.
  4. Extraction — where appropriate, gentle manual extraction of comedones with proper technique. We never over-extract.
  5. Active layering — bespoke serums (vitamin C, niacinamide, retinoid, peptide, hyaluronic acid, growth factors) chosen against the analysis.
  6. Massage — Japanese-style lymphatic drainage combined with facial sculpting to ease puffiness, improve circulation and lift the lower face.
  7. Mask phase — sheet, cream, peel-off, or modelling clay, matched to the goal of the session.
  8. LED phase — where the protocol benefits, a short red or near-infrared LED session to amplify collagen response and calm inflammation.
  9. Finishing — eye cream, occlusive moisturiser, broad-spectrum SPF for morning slots, or your night routine for evening appointments.

In the room: what you'll experience

The treatment is comfortable end-to-end. You will lie back on a heated couch, eyes covered for the analysis phase, then talked through each active as we apply it. Most clients fall asleep during the massage and LED phases. Acid exfoliation may cause brief, mild tingling — speak up if it stings sharply and we adjust.

The room is quiet, kept at a comfortable temperature, and our therapists work in considered silence unless you want to chat. We use professional brands and store them properly; nothing comes from a tub older than its expiry date. We change towels and linens between every client.

Results timeline

Results from a Signature Facials appear in distinct phases:

  • Walking out — brighter, plumper, more even-toned skin. Slight flush for 30-60 minutes is normal as circulation settles.
  • Day 1-3 — settled glow, smoother makeup application, deeper hydration. Some clients see mild flaking on day 2-3 if we used acids; do not pick.
  • Week 1 — improvements compound as cell turnover catches up. Skin feels stronger, less reactive, more comfortable.
  • Across a course of 4-6 sessions — measurable changes in pigmentation, fine lines, texture and tolerance. We photograph at session 1 and session 6 so you can see the difference objectively.

Aftercare

How well you look after your skin in the 48-72 hours after a facial determines how long the results last. Five simple rules:

  • Skip active acids and retinoids for 48 hours — let the skin rest and absorb the work we just did.
  • Wear SPF 30+ daily — non-negotiable, especially after exfoliating or brightening protocols. UV undoes pigmentation work fast.
  • Drink an extra litre of water in the first 24 hours to support cell turnover.
  • Avoid hot yoga, sauna, swimming pools and direct sun for the first 24 hours.
  • Stick to the home routine we prescribed — results compound with consistent use. We will write yours down before you leave.
  • Re-book at the right interval — 4-6 weeks for maintenance, 7-10 days for a corrective course. We will book your next slot at checkout.

Safety, contraindications and patch testing

We will not perform this facial if you have active cold sores, broken or infected skin, sunburn, recent injectables (within 14 days), recent professional peels or laser treatments (within 14 days), are using oral isotretinoin (within 6 months) or are in your first trimester of pregnancy. Always disclose medications, supplements and recent treatments at the consultation — we adjust the protocol to keep you safe.

No patch test is needed for this treatment.

Questions about this treatment

Anything we have not covered? Call 020 8374 3333 or email and we will get back to you the same day.

How often should I have the Signature Facials? +
For maintenance: every 4-6 weeks aligns with your skin's natural cell turnover. For corrective goals like pigmentation or fine lines, we run a course of 4-6 sessions every 7-10 days, then drop to maintenance frequency.
Will my skin peel afterwards? +
Mild flaking on day 2-3 is normal if we used acids — it is the old surface layer releasing. Do not pick. It resolves on its own and reveals the brighter skin underneath.
Can I wear makeup straight after the Signature Facials? +
You can, but we recommend giving your skin 6-8 hours to absorb the actives before applying foundation. SPF, lip balm and a tinted moisturiser are fine.
I have very sensitive skin — is the Signature Facials safe? +
Yes. We adjust active steps based on what your skin can tolerate that day. Sensitive skin often sees particular benefit from the lymphatic massage and barrier-supporting serums.
Does the Signature Facials hurt? +
No. You may feel mild tingling during acid exfoliation but the treatment is otherwise relaxing. Most clients fall asleep during the massage phase.
How does the Signature Facials compare to Hydrafacial or Morpheus8? +
Hydrafacial is faster, more uniform, with no downtime and a different mechanism (vortex-fusion). Morpheus8 is a more invasive procedure for structural skin remodelling. The Signature Facials sits between them — bespoke, results-focused, no downtime. Ask at your consultation which suits your goal.
Is the Signature Facials suitable during pregnancy? +
After the first trimester, with adjusted actives — yes. We avoid retinoids, high-strength acids, and certain essential oils. Let us know at booking and we will protocol accordingly.
Can I book the Signature Facials the day before a wedding or event? +
Yes — we keep the protocol gentle for pre-event sessions and skip anything that might cause flushing or a delayed reaction. Book 24-72 hours before the event for the best result.
